About DOTA2PREDICT

DOTA2PREDICT is an open analytics site for pro Dota 2. We track every official pro match, compute team Elo ratings, run a fleet of independent AI models that each output a win probability for the favored side, and aggregate them into an ensemble forecast.

Match data comes from OpenDota (results, drafts) and Liquipedia (schedules, rosters). Predictions update automatically — there is no human picking favorites.

What the models do

20 models cover different signals: head-to-head Elo, recent form, win-streak, last-10 results, strength-of-schedule, fatigue, roster changes, hero-meta strength, draft synergy, and XGBoost on drafts. Each writes its own probability. The ensemble is the mean.

None of them are paid services or magic bullets. Each model can be wrong. The Models page lists their accuracy as matches settle.

Predictions

The prediction pool is pari-mutuel: winners split the losers' pool minus a 5% commission. No bookmaker margin, no fixed odds — you're betting against other users. Predictions are Pro-only.
